Phono has been a DJ since 1994. breakbeatmassaker was his Leipzig-based DJ crew that consisted of the DJs Royale, Echolot, Schotter, Kukidenta a.k.a. RevoluTon, Base, and Phono. The crew existed from 2002 till 2005. They were the bookers for the SonneMondSterne breakbeat tent in 2004 and 2005 and invited true drumfunk artists there (Paradox, Seba, con.struct...) to keep the spirit going - as drum&bass is not techno.
