Phono is Jörg Steinhof, born and raised and (after some years in Leipzig) living in beautiful Thuringia. Find lots of work - made for clubs, festivals, magazines, party crews, record labels, shops and so on - in this site's archive. 

As Phono's been a DJ since 1994 (playing everything from techno and hardcore to jungle, ambient, downbeat and drum'n'bass - Drumfunk rules!), he acted in the club and party scene most of the time.

In Leipzig he ran his own DJ crew called breakbeatmassaker together with DJ Echolot and others - over three years they played floors in Berlin, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Dresden, Gera, at the SonneMondSterne Festival and in some more towns this space would be too small to mention.
